Dr John McDermott
Studio III Clinical Services
DPsych, MSc, LLB (Hons), DipLP, MBPsS. John is a Counselling Psychologist
and as such has particular interest in relational and systemic approaches to working with individuals, families and caregivers in autism, developmental disability and care settings.
Catriona Firmin
Studio III Clinical Services
Trine is a Lead Behaviour Therapist with an MSc in Clinical & Abnormal Psychology, Post Graduate Diploma in Autism, Post Graduate Diploma in Research Methods & Practice, BSc (Joint Hons) Psychology & Physiology, teaching, counselling and behaviour management qualifications.
Annie McAteer
Studio III Clinical Services
Annie is an assistant psychologist working for Studio 3. Annie has a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Abnormal and Clinical Psychology.Previously, she has worked with a range of children presenting with various behaviours of concern, specifically in the fostering environment. She has worked in both the NHS and private sector.
Andrea Rivero Castro
Studio III Clinical Services
Andrea is a Clinical Associate Psychologist working for Studio 3. She has a BSc in Psychology and an MSc in Clinical Psychology. She has experience working with challenging young people with intellectual disabilities and Autism. As well as children and adults with diverse mental health difficulties.
Marion O'Shea
Studio III Assistant Psychologist
Marion has been working with Studio 3 Ireland since February 2019. She previously worked as a volunteer assistant psychologist with Enable Ireland Kerry Children’s Services. While there, she supported children and adolescents with autism and intellectual disabilities. Marion has a BA in Psychology and an MSc in Psychological Science.
Karolina Morgalla
Studio III Clinical Services
BSc (Hons) Psychology and MSc Analysis and Intervention in Intellectual and Developmental Disabilities.
Karolina is an experienced Support Worker who supports individuals with a range of different needs including neurodevelopmental disorders, intellectual disabilities and mental health difficulties.
Mary Maher
Studio III Assistant Psychologist and Behaviour Adviser
Mary has been an Assistant Psychologist and Behaviour advisor with Studio III Clinical Services since July 2017. She is a Studio III trainer and has delivered Studio III Low Arousal training to staff, teachers and parents with Gheel Autism Services in Ireland since 2013.
Liz White
Studio III Clinical Services
MBACP, BA Hons Liz has a wide range of experience over a variety of settings including the NHS, Prisons, Corporate and Private passionately believing in the importance of humanity while viewing people in context within all types of care. As a parent to an autistic child with complex needs, Liz is also a great advocate for increased understanding around such circumstances with compassion being key.

Amy Roper
Studio III Assistant Psychologist
MSc in Foundations of Clinical Psychology and BSc (Hons) in Psychology. Amy's experience is based in community mental health services with individuals with a range of needs, including eating disorders, personality disorders and Autism. In addition, she has worked with individuals and families facing domestic violence, addiction and incarceration.

Shannen Poulton
Studio III Project Worker
BSc (Hons) Psychology and MSc in Psychology.
Shannen has experience supporting children, adolescents and adults with a range of needs including autism, eating disorders, addictions, acute mental health and emotional disorders.
THE TRAINING TEAM
Steve Allison
Studio III Training Systems
Steve has an education background. He is a national assessor for the In service trainers programmes for Studio 3. Steve has a number of specialist interests including: Challenging behaviour and autism.
Robert Whiskens
Studio III Training Systems
Robert Whiskens began working as a trainer for Studio3 mid 2004 and has a broad range of experiences across the autistic spectrum specialist part of the care industry. Pre Studio3 Robert was the regional coordinator for an Asperger syndrome specific outreach team based in the West Midlands.
Tim Parker
Studio III Training Systems
Tim is a Studio 3 trainer with extensive experience of working directly with difficult behaviours. He has a specialist interest in the training of frontline teaching staff in behaviour management practices. He has responsibilities for the development of Studio 3 training in classrooms settings.
Gareth Morewood
Studio III Educational Adviser
Gareth D Morewood is the Educational Advisor for Studio 3. Previously he has worked for 25 years in U.K. schools, the last 17 of which were as SENCo (Special Educational Needs Coordinator) in a large, inclusive secondary school in the North West of England.
Paul Phillips
Studio III Training Systems
BSocSc (Hons), BSc IT (Hons). Paul has recently joined the Studio 3 team in the role of Lead Trainer in Ireland. He delivers courses on Managing Behaviours of Concern, co-ordinates and delivers the Irish ‘Train the Trainer’ schemes, and he tutors on the Atlass programme in both the UK and Ireland.
Martin Galvin
Studio III Principal Trainer, Ireland
Martin has been supporting people with autism for 28 years with Gheel Autism Services, Dublin, Ireland. Over the years, he has held many roles such as front-line staff, Training and Development Officer, Behaviour Support Specialist and Clinical Coordinator.
Paul Burbage
Studio III Training Systems
Paul has recently joined the Studio 3 team in the role of Trainer/Practitioner, delivering courses on Managing Behaviours of Concern and other programs within Studio 3. With over 13 years of experience, his background is in working with adults and children with Autism, and Learning Disabilities services.
OUR CONSULTANTS AND ASSOCIATES
Peter Vermeulen
Studio III Consultant
MSc and PhD in Psychology and Educational Sciences. Worked with people with ASD and their families for more than 30 years. Peter is an internationally respected lecturer/trainer and he presents all over Europe and beyond. Peter wrote more than 15 books and several articles on autism.
Andrea Page
Studio III Consultant
Andrea is a module leader and lecturer on foundation nursing skills and issues relating to the care of people with a learning disability for level 4, 5 and 6 undergraduate students at Birmingham City University.
Bo Hejlskov Elvén
Studio III Consultant
Bo is a clinical psychologist based in Scandinavia. His work with guidance and lecturing concerning managing challenging behavior. Bo’s field is care and special education, mainly concerning children and adults with developmental disabilities such as autism, Asperger´s syndrome, ADHD or intellectual disabilities.
Roy Deveau
Studio III Research Consultant
Roy’s research and consultancy work are focussed upon two areas: leadership and management and restrictive practices (RP) within the ID sector. He has undertaken research into the use of restrictive practices and frontline practice leadership/management within services for people who challenge.
Dermot Rafter

MA in Behavioural and Cognitive Psychotherapy, Dermot is a Behaviour Support Specialist with over 30 years’ experience working on individual support and organisation development
Jamie Emberson
Studio III Mindfulness and Emotional Inteligence Consultant
Jamie trained as a Registered Nurse, Assessor and Teacher in clinical practice. Jamie post graduated as a
Registered Nurse Behaviour Therapist. He has held various posts, including a Clinical Nurse Specialist
post within the regional forensic health authorities and social services.
Mark Wetherell
Studio III Stress Management Consultant
Mark Wetherell is an Associate Professor of Psychobiology & Health Psychology, Postgraduate Programme Leader for Health Psychology and a Practicing Health Psychologist registered with the Health & Care Professions Council (HCPC).
Maureen Bennie
Studio III Consultant
Maureen is the mother of two children with autism – Marc age 19 and Julia age 17. For 8 years, she managed an at-home Intensive Behavioral Intervention Program which evolved into the Autism Awareness Centre in Canada.
