Hi Sophie,
fortunately there are lots of things you can do in order to cope better.
There is lots of information available on the website of the National Autistic Society (www.nas.org.uk (http://www.nas.org.uk)), especially in the "Living with Autism" section (www.nas.org.uk/nas/jsp/polopoly/jsp?d=1245 (http://www.nas.org.uk/nas/jsp/polopoly/jsp?d=1245) ). It is a great resource for all sorts of information around Asperger Syndrom, including real life stories by people who have Aspergers Syndrome...

...I hope this helps...

Yours
Tobias

Hi Sophie,
On the NAS website you should also be able to find a service near to you. It could be worth contacting them as they may be able to help as well. I know some services run sort of social clubs which give people a chance to meet up and discuss, share experiences. I hope you find this information usefull.

Hi Sophie

There's a really good book written by a teenager called Luke Jackson it's called "Freaks Geeks and Aspergers Syndrome" and is published by Jessica Kingsley It was written by him when he was about your age and I think you will find it really useful.

best wishes

Linda
