On Sunday night I happened to change the channels on the TV and say the end of a programme on institutions in Bulgaria. They are for children with learning disabilities some with the added problems of visual and hearing impairement, autism and some who cannot speak.
This programme was a heart-rendering insight to the lives of these children who are left mainly in isolation, and some who are wasting away with malutrition.

I am involved in a charity HOLDING OUT HOPE, and we have over thwe years focused our work on Romanian orphanages. It is still in early planning but we are hoping to go out and visit on 7th December to see what the very small charity like us can do to help. We plan to take monye to buy food and treats and to form a plan for further aid and support - to try and make a little happiness.
If anyone was touched by the programme and would like to donate to the charity then please contact me. I will be more than happy to share our findings and our future plans. If you live locally in the Bristol area and would like to fund raise or volunteer to help on future trips and projects please contact me.
Thanks
Becky
