Hello,

i've used the low arousal training package in learning disability services a few times. My experience has been that staff really like it, especially when they get to grips with the fact that they don't have to be confrontational with people.

I have also had feedback which says that staff can really identify with some of the situations illustrated in the video - particularly when one individual comes into the staff office to ask who's on the rota for that evening! People have said that they can see things more objectively from that angle, and realised that they have sometimes caused incidents. I think that it's a really good tool, particularly for staff who just need a little bit of objectivity at times.
