I am looking for details of centres of excellence that carry out medical assessments on people with special needs in the Midlands or surrounding areas.
The individual is an adult diagnosed with ASD. There is some concern that additional health issues may be an underlying cause of an ongoing increase in her apparent level of anxiety and behavioural challenges.
I have heard that there may be a centre of excellence that specialises in medical checks of this kind. Failing this we may look to explore the option of a general anaesthetic which would enable a GP to carry out a thorough medical examination. Any information would be greatly appreciated.
