Government prepared to spend £5m but still allow this form of restraint.
Adam Rickwood was from our neck of the woods (Burnley) but was detained in N/E as no secure services were available in Lancashire – apparently this is common practice. He was therefore legally assaulted and restrained by public employees which led to him taking his own life – a tragic death 200 mile away from home without his family.
I’m sure this case along with many similar can be used to promote the Millfield Charter initiative?
