After being found guilty he leapt from the balcony in the court room and fell 40ft to the marble floor below, after being told that he would face a jail sentence.
During the court case he had refused to let the patient have a second cake from the trolley due to having diabetes. He pushed her and she was seriously injured as she fell. He claims she had struck him and then overbalanced. Jury found guilty after claims from eye witness.
