A pilot study looking at the effectiveness of systematic risk assessment and staff training in 2 12 bed Swiss psychiatric admission wards, one urban and one rural. In order to test the effectiveness of the 2 interventions on the incidence rate of aggressive events, attacks against persons and incidence rate of coercive measures. They concluded that a systematic risk assessment and a training course may assist in reducing the incidence rate of coercive measures on psychiatric acute admission wards, but further testing is necessary.
