In September/October 2003 the Child Welfare League of America produced an article entitled "Practicing Restraint", which examined the need for alternatives to physically restraining children and young people in residential care. This article is a follow-up and was published in July/August 2004, and looks at the debate around asserting a theraputic value to physical intervention.
