Rocky Bennett

This is a link to an investigation into the death of David Bennett in 1998. David "Rocky" Bennet, suffered from schizophrenia and had been recieving treatment for his mental illness eighteen years before his death. On the evening of his death, an incident occurred between himself and another patient where they both lashed out at each other, Rocky was then moved into another ward. Whilst in this ward, he hit a nurse, he was then restrained by a number of nurses and a struggle developed. He was taken to the floor and placed in a prone position, face-down, on the floor. During the prolonged struggle that then continued he collapsed and died. This enquiry looks at all the factors leading up the death and the history of the deacesed.
