New research - Medication for CB No Thank You!

This article in the Lancet looks at the use of antipsychotic drugs to treat aggresive behaviour in people with intellectual disability using a randomised control trial. They found that those taking the placebo showed no evidence of worse response that those taking antipsychotic drugs. It concludes that antipsychotic drugs should no longer be regarded as an acceptable routine treatment for this group - AND SO SAY ALL OF US!
